The hotel has been chosen as the Conference Hotel for the Scottish Conservative Party Conference in Ayr in May 2008.

Standing proudly on the Ayrshire coastline, Fairfield House Hotel is a magnificent Victorian mansion which has recently been given a major refurbishment. Once the country home of a Glasgow tea merchant this is now a stunning seafront hotel near to Glasgow Prestwick Airport and Ayr Racecourse.

The ground floor of the building, including the reception area, bar and restaurant has been completely renovated, creating a stylish but not ultra-modern look that blends in perfectly with the hotel’s striking exterior on the edge of Ayr’s Low Green, looking out over the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran.

Our friendly team of skilled staff are led by Stuart Maxwell, General Manager. Blending a mix of experience with some young talent we believe we offer service that is unstuffy, professional but relaxed. With very few management and administrative staff we have chanelled more customer facing staff to ensure that we deliver exceptional service at all times.

Our food and beverage team is led by Craig Adam, who was born and bred locally in Troon. Craig has over ten years of experience from the world famour cruise ship the QE2.

With its Fairfield suite and boardroom, the 44-bedroom hotel also hosts conferences, seminars and weddings, and can cater for up to 150 delegates or guests.

The Fairfield Leisure Club has a well-equipped gymnasium and an indoor heated swimming pool complete with spa bath, sauna and steam room.
